Our first food fair for 2019 is on Sunday, August 11, 2019 as follows:
Please note that all proceeds from the food fair will go to Thiri Mingalar monastery in Myanmar.
You and your loved ones are cordially invited to participate as a vendor and/or a customer and have a taste of Myanmar in a fun and friendly atmosphere. In addition, your donation of food, labour, time and money will go all the way to nirvana (Nibbana).

So far, we have the following list of food and vendors for the fair.
- Dan Pauk (Bryani rice) by Ma Yin Yin Ohn;
- Mote-hnin-chin (Preserved mustard), Chin Baung Gyaw (Cooked sour leaves), Nge-pi-kyaw (Burmese Ba-la-chong), and Pe Poak Kyaw (Deep fried Shan bean), and Fish sauce with tomato by Daw Shwe Sein;
- To Fu + Pe Gyaw (Deep fried bean) by Aunty Nu;
- Mote-hin-gar (Burmese rice noodle in fish soup) by Ko Tun Aung Kyaw;
- Pa Zun Kywat Kyaw (Deep fried stuffed shrimp) and Mote-phet-htote (Steamed wrapped cake) by New World printing family;
- Various deep fry (Appetizers) by Daw Mar Lay;
- Rakhine Kyar Zan Thoke (Rakhine rice vermicelli salad) and See-hta-min (Yellow glutinous rice) by Daw Khin Khin Oo;
- Coconut noodle in gravy by Daw San Thawda Kyaing; and
- Bane Moat (Burmese cake), Sa-nwin-ma-king (Burmese cake with sesame on top) and Cassava by Ma Mon and Ko Than Htut.
If you are not selling anything, you can just simply participate as a customer. We however, sincerely urge you to come early to get what you want. Or else, you will be so disappointed as they will be sold out fast like hot cakes before.
There are other opportunities to get Kuso (merit) by laying the tables & chairs, putting up and taking down tents or canopies for vendors and well-wishers, one day before and/or after the events.
There will be more parking spots available inside the next door compound on the 108th Ave.
