Today’s Dhamma talk summary is that we should try to be mindful of what is happening inside of ourselves without a failure. With the mindfulness, one’s evil mind should be controlled and one’s meritorious mind should be nurtured.

The summary of today’s Dhamma, shared by venerable monks, board of directors as well as audience is we should do more Dhamma. Without the Dhamma, all physical material things including money and golden temple are useless. We should put the Buddha Dhamma into practice in our daily lives. We have reached a milestone of 25 years because of our united strength, co-operation, sacrifices, wisdom and interdependence that we should keep them for many generations to come. As you know that the Buddha allows only members of the Sangha who have stayed at one particular place during the whole three months of Buddhist lent to receive donation of robes. Abhidhamma Day
Manawmaya Theravada Buddhist Society will hold the Abhidhamma Day (also, particularly in Myanmar, celebrated as) Thadingyut, Festival of Lights on Sunday, October 16, 2016.
You and your loved ones are cordially invited, for wholesome merit (Kuso), to come and listen to the Dhamma Talk.

11:00 a.m. – Offering lunch to the resident monk (Sayadaw)
11:05 a.m. – Offering Mote-hin-gar (noodle in fish soup) to all attendees

12:35 p.m. – Listening to Sayadaw’s Dhamma Talk
1:35 p.m. – Q & A session
2:00 p.m. – Announcement
Food for both body and mind are free-of-charge. All are welcome.
There are many opportunities for you to get wholesome merit (Kuso):
1. by attending the event and listening to the Dhamma talk;
2. by bringing a small dish for the Sayadaw’s lunch;
3. by helping cooking volunteers one day before (if any); and/or
4. by laying the tables and chairs for all attendees and well-wishers one day before the event, taking them down and doing clean-up after the event.
There will be more parking spots available inside the next door compound on the 108th Ave.
